RESEARCH ON THE APPLICATION OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY TO CHINESE UNIVERSITIES EDUCATION MANAGEMENT

 

Abstract:  At present, Chinese universities are on the way to enter the information age. Chinese universities have been committed to applying information technology to all aspects of education to promote the modern development of China’s higher education management. In the process of education management, Chinese universities use information technology to analyze data and combine it with multimedia technology to further improve the level of university education. This article analyzes the development trend and advantages of computer management information technology in college education, and puts forward some suggestions for applying information technology to education management, which have certain reference significance.

Introducation

In recent years, information technology has made considerable progress in China, not only in various fields of society, but also further promoting China’s digital and diversified development. In China, most universities have adopted computer information technology to varying degrees. From the follow-up development point of view, the application of this information technology is indeed effective.

1.The important role of information technology in Chinese universities education management

(1)Improve the efficiency of education management in Chinese universities

Information technology has outstanding advantages in terms of efficiency. So it is widely used all over the world. As a country’s top learning and scientific research base, colleges and universities need to put information technology into the operation and management of school organizations. In terms of education management, information technology can help school administrators save time and produce efficiency, so as to find the most accurate solutions for complex distribution. For example, the setting of the curriculum, the operation and management of the educational administration system, and the establishment of a timetable. The university’s information system can provide administrators with the information needed for accurate arrangements, decision-making and evaluation, and facilitate the office automation of the university.

(2)Promote the rational allocation of educational management resources

In the affairs of university education management, the management work is complex and complicated. It not only includes the timely processing of student identity information, employment files, academic performance, scholarships and scholarships, but also includes teacher curriculum arrangements, teaching and research work, and personnel transfer[1]. Under the previous educational management model in China, this was time-consuming and laborious, leading to low efficiency of university education management. The emergence of information technology disrupted this phenomenon and continued to continue in universities. Use this technology to build a network information system, import teacher and student information files, use the Internet to analyze educational management resources, and then allocate corresponding resources. On the one hand, it can not only allocate educational resources rationally, on the other hand, it can also greatly save timeliness, and undertake the management of university education in a scientific and precise way.

(3)Information skills training for education managers

When information technology is applied to university education management, it has the advantages of sharing, large memory space, and strong processing. In the education management of Chinese universities, information technology can be used to conveniently store large amounts of educational data or information, and to modify and integrate them in a timely and accurate manner[2]. At the same time, the data collected through information technology can be disclosed in a variety of characteristic forms and media, so that teachers, students, and managers can participate in real-time and view real-time dynamics. In addition, education administrators can use the materials and information integrated by the information platform to analyze and deploy teaching plans and directions[3].

Through the above methods and processes, the smooth operation of university education management is realized. Further improve the quality of teaching and scientific research, thereby promoting the rapid development of the university.

(4) Promote the innovation of Chinese education and teaching model

Chinese universities have not completely abandoned the old education model, so there are still many contradictions between the new model and the traditional model. Therefore, information technology plays an important role in promoting the reform and innovation of Chinese universities[4]. Universities can make multimedia, video and audio materials into courseware and upload them to the information technology platform, so that students can effectively consult relevant learning materials at any time and realize learning resource sharing. This not only provides more learning channels for students, but also broadens their knowledge. In addition, the establishment of information platforms between schools has also promoted interactive exchanges between schools.

2.Problems Existing in the Process of Chinese universities Educational Informationization

(1)The education management system is not sound enough

With the continuous in-depth development of Chinese education and the exploration and innovation of education and teaching methods, relevant education management work must be adjusted and innovated in real time. However, judging from the current Chinese university education management system, the existing management system can no longer meet the development requirements of China’s education modernization. In the early stages of development and implementation, due to factors such as technology, these education management systems failed to fully and systematically match relevant education policies. As a result, some failures occurred, leading to imperfect education management system and low education management efficiency. In addition, the compatibility of information systems between Chinese universities and faculties is poor, and most of these information systems are also built on local area networks, which leads to obstacles in data transmission and sharing between faculties and departments. Poor information makes it impossible to carry out comprehensive, systematic data analysis and corresponding resource allocation, and the entire information system has not yet been systematically used effectively.

(2)Insufficient management level

Most Chinese workers are at a relatively low level of information management, believing that they only use computer systems to record data and perform a series of mechanically repetitive and inefficient tasks. Related managers lack the ability to master information-based education management, and cannot reasonably use these information-based education management software, resulting in waste of system software and low work efficiency. In view of this, only the combination of information technology and technology application theory can further improve the application ability of managers and promote the smooth progress of Chinese university education management.

(3)Lack of communication among universities

With the innovation and development of science and technology, the internal information systems of Chinese universities are constantly updated, not only the number is increasing, but the corresponding configuration is becoming more and more complicated. However, in the actual application process, the role of these information systems is not significant, and the number of intelligent and scalable systems is very small. At the same time, the lack of actual communication and cooperation between Chinese universities hinders the sharing of information management resources and the inability to form a systematic information resource network platform between universities, which has affected the process of Chinese university education informatization.

3.The Application of Information Technology in the Educational Management of Chinese Universities

(1)Establish the concept of education management information

In order to improve the level of informatization of education management in Chinese universities, it is first necessary to improve the knowledge and understanding of information technology among relevant managers and establish the concept of informatization of education management. The university can conduct regular theoretical knowledge training and relevant practical technical operation training for relevant educational management personnel. In addition, universities can also jointly carry out relevant skills competitions to exchange and discuss information technology skills training to motivate relevant managers.

(2) Strengthen the management of the university’s internal network system

When developing information technology systems, ensuring the security of the university campus network is a top priority. On this basis, sharing educational data resources between universities can improve the efficiency of university education information management. When universities establish and develop information systems, they must do a good job in contacting and coordinating with university information systems, establishing standardized and unified standards, and uniformly standardizing the entry and storage of relevant information for teachers and students for orderly development. It is necessary to modify and browse in a timely, real-time, and accurate manner to further promote the integration and intelligent development of information systems between universities.

(3) Information skills training for education managers

As the main body of education management informatization work, education administrators play an important role in promoting the implementation and promotion of education management informatization work. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct training on the theoretical knowledge of information technology and relevant practical skills for education managers. Promote the development of informatization work by improving its professional qualities and operational skills.

First of all, it is necessary to enhance education managers’ ideological understanding of skills and knowledge, increase the importance of related information knowledge and skills, change the superficial understanding of related technologies, and avoid perfunctory situations.

Secondly, it is necessary to strengthen the relevant professional quality of education management personnel, conduct relevant training and skill practice exercises for them regularly, track the development trend of information technology in real time, and constantly update the professional skills knowledge of education management personnel.

In addition, universities can also hold a series of competitions to encourage education managers to continuously improve their professional skills, keep pace with the times, use information technology platforms rationally and effectively, promote the effective allocation of teaching resources, and save manpower, financial resources, time and energy.

 

Conclusion

Through the unremitting efforts of scientific researchers, information technology has gradually entered the campuses of various universities in China, and the process of education management informatization in various universities is also constantly advancing. However, in the actual application process, there are still problems such as imperfect education management system, lack of relevant technical personnel, and lack of relevant knowledge and ideological understanding of education management personnel. Therefore, as an education manager, it is necessary to fully understand these loopholes, find corresponding solutions in time, continuously improve the ideological understanding of education managers, establish a sound education management information system, and introduce talents with relevant skills. In addition, the interactions and connections between universities need to be closer and frequent, so as to create more platforms for resource sharing.
